Lums Pond State Park is nestled in an oak and poplar woodland and surrounds Delaware's largest freshwater millpond. As one of the First State's most diversified parks, recreational opportunities can be found in every corner of this popular spot, making it a perfect day trip or a fun family camping destination
Before the Pond existed, St. Georges Creek flowed through the hardwood forest and was the site of several Native American hunting camps. This area was first used as a State Park in 1963.
